Like a fillet of fish, guests start to stink after a few days. Rotting on your couch, eating your food, and gobbling up all of your free time, it's exhausting to host people for long periods of time, especially when it's our most cherished family members.
I love my family, don't get me wrong, but after longer than 48 hours together, especially under the same roof, I start to question my own sanity. At least, though, my family tries to tidy up after themselves, they're considerate of my work hours, and they are generally receptive when it's time to go. Some families (and extended families) aren't so lucky.
A woman went viral online for her refusal to let her brother-in-law stay at her house. After several visits where he proved to be a freeloading guest, she finally put her foot down to protect her space. However, big brother, her husband, thought that it wasn't very family-like of them to refuse admittance to his younger sibling. So the next time the BIL and his mooching girlfriend decided to come to town, guess whose turn it was to babysit? The husband insisted they put the family reunion back on the calendar.
